Model Answer 1:
In modern society, many people associate happiness with wealth and material possessions. However, there is an ongoing debate about whether money is the main source of happiness in life. While having a huge sum of money can certainly provide certain comforts and luxuries, I believe that it is not the only way to achieve happiness.
It is true that having a large amount of money can provide people with financial stability and the means to pursue their goals and dreams. For example, individuals with high salaries can afford to travel, purchase expensive items, and live in comfortable homes. Furthermore, wealth can provide access to resources and opportunities that may not be available to those without financial means. Additionally, having financial security can reduce stress and anxiety, allowing people to focus on other areas of their lives.
However, there are many other factors that can contribute to happiness beyond just money. For instance, strong personal relationships, a sense of purpose, and good health can all lead to feelings of contentment and satisfaction. Research has shown that people with supportive social networks and meaningful connections with others tend to be happier overall. Similarly, individuals who have a clear sense of direction and purpose in their lives often report feeling fulfilled and happy. Finally, good physical and mental health can also be crucial to happiness, as illness or chronic pain can detract from a person’s quality of life.
In conclusion, while money can certainly contribute to happiness, it is not the only factor that determines an individual’s overall well-being. Personal relationships, a sense of purpose, and sound health can also play important roles in achieving happiness. It is important to remember that happiness is a complex and multifaceted concept that cannot be reduced to a single factor such as wealth.
Sample Answer 2:
Many people associate wealth accumulation and money with happiness in life. While it is certainly true that money can eliminate some reasons for distress, and give gratification in life, it is not the primary driving force to bringing happiness as our positive mindset, personal relationship, and health bring lasting delight in life.
There is no denying that people without money face far more financial and earthly troubles than those with money, and that is why money is often considered an important ingredient for a comfortable and happy life. Even though money can not buy happiness, it certainly can remove some of the distressing elements from life that can be our reasons for suffering and unhappiness. For instance, no matter how hard one tries to be content, when debt and poverty constantly knock him down, the person's life becomes miserable. Happiness can not sustain in the mind of a hungry person who does not know where and when the next meal for his family will be managed. Moreover, financial prosperity and the ability to spend money give people instant satisfaction and contentment of success. People who buy a new car or donate to a charity, for example, associate it with their achievements in life, and this feeling of accomplishment can bring happiness to many.
When it comes to achieving genuine and lasting happiness in life, I believe a positive attitude towards life, healthy personal relationships, and good health are three essential elements. An optimistic person remains happy even in his unfortunate time. Happiness is a state of mind and positive people already know this hack. Moreover, we tend to become more delighted in life when we have healthy relationships with our family, neighbours and friends. Sometimes it is so important to us that we can be happy in life just by having good relationships with others who surround us. Finally, sound health is quintessential to be happy in life. Without health, nothing seems enjoyable, and ill people, for instance, understand and often state the importance of health in life.
In conclusion, happiness can be subjective, and money can help us remove some of our unhappiness. However, our positive attitude, good affinity and sound health can bring true happiness.

Double Question Essay / Direct Question Essay.
The main question of this essay:
A) How might having a lot of money make people happy?
B) What other things in life, apart from money, can make people happy?
Reasons why having a lot of money can make people happy:
1. Financial security and stress reduction:
Wealth ensures stability by covering basic needs such as housing, healthcare, and education. This financial security reduces stress and allows individuals to focus on personal growth and enjoyment. For example, people with sufficient savings do not worry about unexpected medical expenses or job loss, leading to a greater sense of peace.
2. Access to better experiences and lifestyle:
Money provides opportunities for travel, entertainment, and luxury, enhancing overall life satisfaction. Experiencing different cultures, trying new activities, and enjoying a comfortable lifestyle contribute to happiness. For instance, someone with wealth can afford frequent vacations, dine at high-end restaurants, or attend concerts, all of which add joy to life.
3. Freedom to pursue passions and interests:
Financial stability allows people to follow their dreams, whether in business, arts, or philanthropy, without worrying about income. This self-fulfillment leads to a greater sense of purpose. For example, a wealthy person who loves painting can invest in professional art lessons and dedicate more time to their passion.
4. Ability to support family and loved ones:
Having money enables individuals to take care of their family’s needs, ensuring a comfortable life for their children and parents. This sense of responsibility and generosity fosters deep emotional satisfaction. For instance, parents who can afford quality education for their children feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy.
5. Opportunities to contribute to society:
Financial resources allow individuals to engage in philanthropy, support charitable causes, and help those in need, which creates a profound sense of happiness and fulfillment. For example, wealthy people who donate to hospitals or sponsor underprivileged students experience joy in making a positive impact.
Other things in life that can bring happiness:
1. Strong relationships and social connections:
Having supportive friends and family contributes to emotional well-being and provides companionship in difficult times. These relationships bring joy that money alone cannot buy. For example, people with close friendships tend to experience lower levels of stress and higher levels of happiness.
2. Good health and physical well-being:
Maintaining a healthy body and mind ensures a fulfilling life, as illnesses and discomfort can significantly reduce happiness. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and mental peace contribute to overall well-being. For instance, someone who follows a healthy lifestyle enjoys more energy, fewer medical issues, and a higher quality of life.
3. A sense of purpose and personal fulfillment:
Engaging in meaningful work, hobbies, or spiritual practices gives life direction and deep satisfaction, making people feel more content. For example, teachers who are passionate about education find immense joy in shaping young minds, regardless of their salary.
4. Freedom and peace of mind:
The ability to make independent life choices and live without excessive stress leads to a happier and more fulfilling life. Freedom of thought and action brings long-term satisfaction. For instance, someone living a simple but stress-free life in a peaceful countryside may feel happier than a wealthy but overworked city dweller.
5. Experiencing new things and personal growth:
Learning new skills, traveling to different places, and constantly growing as a person create long-lasting happiness and prevent life from becoming monotonous. For example, individuals who take up new hobbies like learning a musical instrument or exploring different cultures often find life more enriching.
