Model Answer 1:
Compared to the past, far more individuals, nowadays, are travelling and exploring the world. The reason behind this phenomenon is globalisation and technological advancements. In my opinion, travelling enhances individuals’ understanding and personal growth.

Globalisation has, without a doubt, ignited a new travel zeitgeist with the expansion of trade and commerce. It has removed the political and geographical barriers so that international business can expand. As international corporations operate their business around the world, the need for executives to make business trips has dramatically increased. A transnational company based in Australia, for example, might now require its employees to make trips to various countries for meetings, conferences, site visits and so on.

Besides, technological advancements have played a significant role in making travel more accessible and convenient, contributing to the rise in the number of people travelling today. Innovations in transportation, such as the development of faster and more affordable aeroplanes, high-speed trains, and ride-sharing services, have drastically reduced travel time and costs, allowing more individuals to explore different places with ease. Additionally, digital platforms and mobile apps have simplified travel planning by offering real-time updates, online bookings, and instant access to information on destinations. For example, the advent of flight comparison websites like Skyscanner has enabled travellers to find affordable airfares, making international travel more attainable than ever before.

Travelling could bring numerous benefits for travellers, enriching their lives in various ways. To begin with, it opens up new horizons by exposing people to foreign languages, new cultures, and traditions, promoting a rational understanding and appreciation of diversity. For example, visiting China or Japan during cherry blossom season offers a remarkable insight into the country’s keen appreciation for nature and aesthetics. Travel also stimulates personal growth and self-discovery. That is to say that unfamiliar environments and situations push individuals out of their comfort zones and present new challenges, thus enhancing problem-solving skills, adaptability, and resilience. Furthermore, it provides travellers with intellectual stimulation. Put simply, engaging with local business leaders, experts and scholars can offers new insight and intellectual curiosity.

In conclusion, globalization and technological progress have contributed to increased travel by creating a conducive environment for international business. Moreover, travelling widens cultural understanding and enhances the personal growth of travellers.

Sample Answer 2:
Gone are the days when people used to spend all their lives in the same city and the tour was a word for rich people only. Now, with the technological advancements, cheaper flight, and ever increasing awareness towards other states and countries, the world has become a smaller place. Having travelled since childhood, I can definitely say that the tourism industry is changing fast and this is attracting a lot more travellers each year. This essay delves into the reasons behind increasing travellers and benefits of travelling.

Firstly, people want to get refreshed quite often due to their increasing workload and they have easy access to information they want. These are the two main reasons people travel more frequently than ever before. It is evident that busier workdays and the hectic lifestyle can easily drain one out. People have started to work more and earn more as compared to earlier days. Also, with the wave of information that the internet has brought, everyone is better informed about the world outside their office or home. These things have acted as precursors to the increase in the number of people who opt travelling as a holiday get away.

Second, tourism is taken very seriously in several countries now. Countries like Australia and France have travel & tourism as an important part of their economy. Tourism contributes to around  30%  of the national GDP for Dubai. Thus, people have started picking up careers in the realm of tourism, as travel bloggers, trip organisers, etc. I myself have met people who travel for a living and love doing so. These factors have also led to accrual in the travelling population.

I believe travelling exposes us to different people and their traditions, outside or even within a country. India itself is a collection of myriad customs, flavours and languages. Visiting places one has never been to and meeting people with different beliefs broadens our perspectives. Introduction to different cultures catalyses respect towards the mutual differences. It helps us understand people in a new light, which can be very helpful to alleviate tensions during political or cultural conflicts.

In a nutshell, I would say that travelling is equivalent to education. It can bring people closer to each other despite their differences, which is very important in today’s global world.

Sample Answer 3:
It is believed that the travelling rate of people today is higher than ever. The following essay will discuss some of the factors which affect the situation and several advantages of the activity for the traveller.

There are various reasons why the travelling activities have increased significantly in the past recent years. Firstly, a lot of people travel intensively due to the existence of the low-cost airlines. It is a fact that budget airline companies such as Air Asia or Tiger Air are providing an affordable and economic ticket, therefore, people from a different range of income could purchase it. Secondly, many companies have increased their export and import activities due to the globalisation. As a result, their employees have to do excessive business trips to other regions or other continents. Thirdly, as business competition gets tougher each day, the stress level of the workers has risen. Consequently, the number of people who travel for leisure activities has grown rapidly in the past few years.

It is undeniable that travelling activities bring a lot of benefits for the travellers themselves. As people travel to another country, they would have the chance to learn a new culture. For example, many westerners have visited China, since they were attracted to see the unique culture of the ancient China civilisation such as the Great Wall of China or the Terracotta Army. Travelling also helps people in releasing their stress. It is obvious that people who live in big cities are stressed with their tight schedule and by taking some trips to the countryside; it will help them in loosen the tense.

In conclusion, it is true that travelling activities have increased rapidly in the past recent time, and people are travelling for various kinds of purposes. Some people are taking the trips for business activities, while others are for holiday. Travelling is also a positive activity since people could get a lot of benefits from doing the activity.

Sample Answer 5:
The globalization and technology have made our life easier than ever before. In current life, more people wish to spend their free time travelling and spending times on vacations. However, I strongly agree with the idea that, nowadays people travel more compared to olden days because of more facilities, improved transportation facilities and other opportunities.

To begin with, the reasons of travelling are mainly due to the availability and convenience of facilities. Booking online for the flight and train tickets makes people’s life easier. They can book their tickets staying at home. For instance, in old days people approached travel agencies to book their tickets. In the same way, due to the invention of air transportation and water transportation, it reduces the length and hours of journey. Again, due to the globalisation, people are free to mingle with other nationalities, such as people migrating to other countries for work and job opportunities. This leads people to travel. Moreover, people wish to spend their holidays by travelling to other countries or abroad. Furthermore, now students are going abroad for their education.

When considering about the benefits of travelling, it is really limitless. First of all, people can learn about the culture and lifestyle of other nationalities. This helps us to make confident in dealing with people of other nationalities. This helps not only exporting things but also to get new cultures and believes. I believe that due to this English became an international language. Besides, people get more job opportunities in other countries and can find a suitable job for them. Again, travelling gives people relaxation and happiness to people who are having a stressful life.

To sum up, considering all the reasons and benefits of travelling, nowadays people are more interested in travelling. Globalisation, new technology and inventions make everyone’s life easy and they can travel according to their wish and schedule.

During recent years, especially subsequent 1950’s, the lifestyle of humans has changed rapidly. Advancement of technology has effectuated our lives and altered our habits and behaviours. Furthermore, technology and its outcomes have changed the face of the people around the world and this leads to “Global Village” phenomenon. One aspect of this occurrence is travelling and visiting the other parts of the world.

People around the world, travel different distances for a wide range of reasons. Their trips can be divided into two categories. First, everyday trips by which people travel every day to reach their location. The second category is occasional journeys which people travel a long distance for a specific purpose. Moreover, we can’t deny the advancement of transportation of which we are capable of covering long distances, for example, America to Asia via airplanes, Bullet trains, roadways etc. So one origin of travelling frequently would be like this. Yet, like always, business and earning money is the greatest factor of travelling. Trading in other parts of the world, opening another branch of the company in other countries and many other reasons, which root of them, is business and economics, oblige people to travel different distances frequently.

It is vital to know other people around the world. Moreover, through travelling human would be capable of comprehending other cultures and socialise with foreign people and this leads to knowing and identifying their needs and run a business. On the other hand, science and knowledge would be globally and then the human can advance faster than ever before. Furthermore, global village causes humankind to think globally and handle global issues.

To sum up, it can be argued that at the same time, technology and economics have compelled and gave power to people to travel the Earth. This is beneficial for everyone, both of travellers and people who will be the host of travellers.

Sample Answer 7:
The buzzword of the today's generation is definitely travelling. If you ask anyone “would you like to travel?”; s/he would be ready to travel irrespective of their personal factors. Why this is so? Why are more and more people nowadays travelling frequently than before? Well, this has several benefits which we will discuss in this essay.

Globalisation, technological advancement, cheap air ticket, the internet, more business needs etc. are the main reasons people are travelling more. The governments of many countries have taken initiatives to expand the tourism of their own countries and due to the easy access of information nowadays, more and more people plan to visit those tourist spots. For site seeing, business needs, migration and personal reasons people are travelling more these days.

Firstly, despite the fact that travelling burns a hole in our pocket, it gives us once in a life time experience. A recent example of it would be, a month ago I went for trekking with my family in Manali and Shimla for a two week’s holiday. The experience I had during my trip was surreal. I just recall memories every now and then.

Secondly, travelling alone to a new place not only makes us fearless but also brings a lot of changes in one's perspective and thought process. A good example of this would be my trip to a native’s place a year ago. Though I have been there since my childhood, this was the first time I was travelling alone. After that trip, I have become much more mature. In addition to this, my fear of long distance travelling is not my phobia anymore.

Thirdly, travelling is also considered as a healer for those who are busy in their life either physically or mentally. For instance, my neighbour's trip to Goa has turned their family's fortune into new leaf as they have started living happily and peacefully now. This was not the scenario before, as both of them had frequent fights between them and they were on the verge of divorce a month ago.

To sum up, travelling is a kind of experience which has several pros of it and it has become more popular than ever. If we sit and make note of travelling, the beautiful memories flash back and give us pleasant feelings.

Sample Answer 8:
Nowadays, more and more people are getting away from their homes to travel around the world compared in the past. For some, they just probably wanted to show off to their friends and relatives through posting their photos and videos of themselves while in those places to show that perhaps they can afford one. However, for the critically-thinking excursionists, they actually plan to tour because they know the long-lasting benefits of visiting foreign countries, such as sharpening minds and a healthier shifting of perspective towards life.

One beneficial factor that exploring outside our own place is that it can sharpen our mind. In fact, being placed into a new environment engages a dormant part of our brains. For instance, when I was in a beautiful city of Melbourne in Australia as a student-explorer, I was suddenly required to navigate unfamiliar places, read British-Australian language, trying new things, made quick decisions and chose new eating and sleeping schedule. As a result, I became more alert.

Another advantage of travelling is it can shift our outlook of life in a better way. Being exposed to new cultures and people will greatly turn our paradigm and create a healthier perspective once we return back home. For example, seeing different social classes creates compassion and really makes us feel more blessed and contented. Like what happened to me when I was in Banawe Rice Terraces in Ifugao here in the Philippines for a certain school project, I have seen most of the people there, living a difficult life. It is because they had to work the whole day under the sun for their rice fields and their homes had no electricity. So my hard day at work in the hospital suddenly does not seem so bad for me at all.

In conclusion, I think that whatever our reasons to travel, it will always sure that we, trippers, will always have personal advantages. Two of these are to have an alert mind and a feeling of compassion and contentment.

Today more people are travelling than ever before. Why is this the case? What are the benefits of travelling for the traveller?

Gone are the days when individuals used to spend all their life in one city or village, while in this contemporary era of globalization, people are travelling more than our forefathers. The information through the internet, social media, cheap air tickets, and cosy seafaring made travelling possible to almost everyone from rags to riches.

Today, even in developing countries, both men and women are working, which gives them more economic freedom. An additional income enhances their spending capacity and allows them to explore the world, food, and culture of a different continent. There are so many websites that offer information about places to visit according to their taste, hobbies, and preferences, followed by a package of economic airfare, hotel stay, and a complete place to do excursions. They provide a safe and secure tour in their tenure of engagement which certainly makes people repeat the sequence.

Besides, we can see that there are so many countries that are encouraging tourism as it creates new employment options for the locals and generates huge revenue. In a recent survey, it has been found that Dubai earns 30% of its total revenue from the tourism sector alone. Moreover, there is medical tourism where people prefer to go to other countries for their health checkup as it is cheaper in certain countries. It is also well-proven to travel to relieve your stress and heal your mind and soul.

In conclusion, travelling has become more widespread than ever. It helps people relax and regain strength in their leisure time. It creates a bond between people of different cultures, and on top of that, it helps explore the history of mankind.

I want your help in achieving expertise in English Speaking, Listening and Writing.
Junely
This is the part of a letter you have received from an English-speaking friend.Guess what! I'm spending next summer in your country, though sadly not in your town. I'm sure I'll enjoy my visit even though I don't speak the language very well - and I'm a bit shy too. But I really want to make new friends, so please tell me: what are the best ways to meet people there, and why? Write your letter in 220-260 words.
Aman
Hi, my exam will be in March 2017. Could you please help me in Writing GT task?
Alfred
Dear Junely, I have just seen your topic and wrote a quick answer for you. Hope that would be helpful for you. Answer: The way people commute and travel have already changed remarkably than the past and it is often said that further significant changes would take place in the future. The changes in the way we visit different places would bring noticeable changes in our lifestyle. To begin, air travel would become quite common in the future and majority of holiday seekers and business executives would take air travel to reach their destinations. The cheap and frequent air travel would save time and attract more people to visit foreign countries. Besides, fast moving shuttle trains would replace many traditional buses and trains transports and people would prefer those shuttle trains to commute within a city. Furthermore, smart cards would be used by the people to travel and pay for their travel and that would replace the conventional paper money. Finally, driver-less vehicles would use the technological advancements to select the routes and destinations and that would make travel safer and faster. With regards to the changes in our way of travel and its effect on our lifestyle, there would be a paradigm shift. We would have more freedom to visit different places and enjoy out time in remote parts of the world. People would plan for holidays more frequently and that would become one of their favourite past time activities. Smart card and technological advancement would reduce the need for a human driver in a vehicle and technological help would be used to select the route we take to reach a destination point. We would be able to save a great deal of time and use that in other activities. In conclusion, the great changes that are going to happen in the way we move to other places would bring flexibility and freedom while letting use save time and money to enjoy other things in life.
Junely
Write an article (120-180 words) in an appropriate style. How do you think people will travel in the future? What changes will there be and what differences will these make to the way we live?
Misbah
Loved your mentions. Very interesting and creative blog. You post always helpful resources for the IELTS test takers. Thanks again for sharing. God bless you.
Shaun
Writing an essay based on one biased reason will not give many points as the examiner will look for the creativity of the way you answer as well as explain the pros and cons of other possible reasons. Other reasons could be an example, 'funds that were given had solved several minor problems although not to an extent where the bigger problems still remain. In this sentence we look at both ways the good and bad and from there conjunction can include 'major problems could not be resolved as a result of poor management of the overseas fund and the greediness of people who seek this as an opportunity rather than helping the much-needed community.'The agree and disagree essays always have a balance of pros and cons. Depending on what you think or what you have experienced, examiners will not judge your answer by right or wrong as there is none but an opinion.
Bishnu Aryal
Sir, I have given my IELTS yesterday. My writing task 2 question was 'The rich countries are aiding poor countries but the condition of the poor countries is not improving. Do you agree or disagree?"
