Model Answer 1:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I took a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne on 16th March on Royal Dutch Airlines and lost my suitcase. I am writing to get an update regarding this and hoping you would help me locate the lost luggage.
My flight number was MH 1685 and the seat number was 12B. The plane departed the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 9.30 pm and after I arrived at Melbourne Airport, I noticed that my suitcase was lost. I could not recover it after searching for more than two hours. Although I have explained this to Mr Johnson, who was in charge of the luggage claim office and promised to give me a call within the next 24 hours, I am yet to receive an update. My luggage claim number is 00269 and I am attaching a copy of it.
The suitcase that I lost is a dark brown leather suitcase with a black handle. It contains some clothes, souvenirs for friends, a couple of magazines, a novel and a business proposal which I need for a presentation I am going to conduct on 30th March.
I would really appreciate it if you could look into the matter and update me on the whereabouts of the suitcase. I really need this urgently and can pick it up from your office once you confirm its possession.
Thank you for giving the matter your attention and I hope to hear your reply soon.
Yours Faithfully,
Andrew Harris
Model Answer 2:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I was one of the passengers who took the flight from Narita, Tokyo to Heathrow, London on 7th September. Unfortunately, my suitcase was lost and I could not find it after I arrived at Heathrow Airport. Although I searched it for an hour and afterwards lodged a written complaint to the luggage claim department, I have not been contacted yet by anyone regarding the whereabouts of the luggage.
My suitcase is Grey Samsonite and approximately 10x95 cm in diameter. It has 3 stickers on one side and a heart-shaped sticker on the other side. The front of the luggage has a small scratch near the main zipper. My initials "DF" are also written on the front. It contains some clothing items, a few books and a copy of my university thesis, which I urgently require.
I would really appreciate it if you could urgently locate my suitcase and update me regarding this. My luggage claim number was 00026 and I can be contacted on my mobile phone, which is +2154875424, anytime.
Thank you for giving the matter your attention. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Daniel Fillip
Sample Answer 3:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I took a flight from the Narita International Airport, Tokyo to the Heathrow Airport, London on 14th November with your airlines. Unfortunately, my suitcase did not come out after the flight. Although I have explained this to the in-charge officer at the Luggage Claim Office at the Heathrow Airport, I have not heard anything from them.
My suitcase is a blue Samsonite and was approximately 12 X 98 centimetres in diameter. One side of it has some small scratches and a heart-shaped sticker was placed on the other side. My initials "PB" are also written on both sides.

So I would highly appreciate it if you could give me a prompt reply at your earliest convenience. My flight number was NF 1452, and my Luggage Claim Number is 02547.
Yours faithfully,
Paul Burrell

Model Answer 4:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a frequent flyer of your airline - The Continental, and recently took a flight from New York to London in which I forgot my suitcase. I am writing to inquire about the suitcase and hoping you would arrange to find it and then allow me to pick it up from your office.
I took the flight on 15th January and the flight number was AB220. While off-boarding at the London City Airport, I forgot to collect it from the overhead bin over my sear. I realised the mistake after I got out of the airport. So, I raised a request with your staff to recover the suitcase. After all the formalities and paperwork, an officer informed me that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Five days have already elapsed since then and I have not heard any news of my suitcase.
For your kind information, it is a grey leather suitcase made by TravelPro and has a logo on the front that resembles a white swan. The bag also bears my name tag on it. It is a medium-sized suitcase that contains a few clothing items, a notebook, a travel charger and some important documents.
I am hoping you would investigate the location of the suitcase and keep it in your possession temporarily. I would be ready to collect it from your office once I hear from you regarding this.
Thank you for giving the matter your attention and I hope to hear your reply soon.
Yours sincerely,
Ramanuj Roy

Model Answer 5:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to inquire about my lost suitcase. I took a flight by the Saudia Airline from Singapore to London last week and the flight number was SK2547. Unfortunately, when I reached the London City Airport, I could not find my suitcase anywhere. I am hoping you would discover the suitcase and inform me once found.
The suitcase is black, medium in size and made of pure leather. A small scratch is visible on the left side and it has three zippers. The handle is brown and made of metal. It contains some important documents, a fountain pen, a diary, and some clothing items. The business documents inside the suitcase are indispensable for me.
Although I have registered the lost item ten days ago, I am yet to hear any update from the airline. I am disappointed with the customer service and hope that you would help me locate the suitcase urgently. Please update me about the whereabouts of the suitcase and oblige thereby.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Ayub Ali
