Model Answer 1:

Thank you for choosing such a great topic for me to talk about. I am lucky to have known quite a few people around me who, I think, make a tremendous and positive contribution to our society in one way or another, and today I would like to go ahead and talk about one of them.

The person I want to talk about is a high school teacher who lives also in the same neighbourhood as me. The people in my neighbourhood like to call him “Sir Dinesh”, not because he is a teacher, but because of the love and respect he commands from the people around him due to his noble thoughts and deeds. By the way, here it is worth mentioning that Dinesh Sir was my teacher also when I attended my junior high school about 10 years ago, and it was from that time that I happened to know this great person.

Of course, he doesn’t teach anymore because of his old age, but that doesn’t prevent him from offering advice to those students who drop out of high school before their graduation. In fact, it is because of his sincere efforts and continuous engagement with the “dropped out” students, dozens of students, if not more, from our city, have gone back to their high schools again to complete their graduation. But, he just doesn’t limit himself to helping “strayed” students, but also works with the community leaders to help the marginalized people of our society in whichever capacity that might be.

So, I just wish there were many other people like Dinesh sir in our society because it is indeed people like him who help our young people become productive citizens of our country, not only by offering them proper education but also by advising them to choose the right path. Besides, the noble efforts of Dinesh sir also teach the members of our society to become more compassionate about each other’s plights and needs, and thus, in turn, help us co-exist in peace and harmony with each other.

Model Answer 2:

One person that immediately comes to my mind when thinking about someone who makes a positive contribution to society is my neighbour, Mr. Patel. He has been an inspiration to me and many others in our community. Thank you for this nice topic.

Mr. Patel is a retired teacher and a dedicated social worker who has been serving the community for the past 20 years. He started a non-profit organization that focuses on providing education and healthcare services to underprivileged children in the area. He actively raises funds and organizes events to create awareness about the issues faced by these children.

I first came to know about Mr. Patel's work when I attended a fundraising event that he organized in our neighbourhood. I was amazed by the impact that his organization had on the lives of these children, and I was inspired to contribute in any way I could.

What I find remarkable about Mr. Patel is his tireless dedication to his cause. Despite his age, he still spends countless hours volunteering and working towards making a positive difference in the community. He also regularly hosts workshops and training sessions for young adults, teaching them the importance of community service and the positive impact it can have on society.

Mr. Patel's selfless work has helped many children receive an education, medical treatment, and other basic necessities. He has created a ripple effect, inspiring others to join him in his cause and help make a difference in society. He truly exemplifies the notion that even a single person can make a significant impact on the world.

Model Answer 3:

Thank you very much for this wonderful topic that would allow me to talk about a person I know who positively contributes to society and a person I deeply admire. And his name is Ahem Hossain. Mr. Hossain is a retired schoolteacher who now runs a free evening school for underprivileged children in our town. After retiring about five years ago, instead of settling into a quiet life, he chose to give back to society by teaching children who cannot afford formal education. He operates the classes from a small rented building and relies heavily on donations and volunteer support. His goal is to provide basic literacy and numeracy skills to children living in slum areas so they don’t fall behind in life.

I came to know about him through a local community group on social media. Out of curiosity, I visited his school one day and was truly inspired by the level of commitment he showed. Despite limited resources, he was full of energy and positivity. I was deeply moved by how the children adored and respected him, and I even started volunteering there once a week.

Mr. Hossain contributes immensely to society by addressing one of the most pressing issues in our country—educational inequality. He not only educates these children but also instills moral values and encourages them to dream big. In my opinion, his efforts create a ripple effect—when these children grow up with proper education, they’re more likely to escape the cycle of poverty and contribute positively to society themselves.

In my opinion, Mr. Hossain’s work is a shining example of how one person, with genuine intention and dedication, can bring about meaningful change. His contribution is not only practical but also deeply inspiring.
