Model Answer:
The bar graph exhibits how many people from two age groups (25-35 and 55-65) joined different clubs aimed for leisure activities in a small urban area. It is obvious that elder people preferred gardening while cycling was mostly taken up by youngsters.
The diagram suggests that over 500 people between 25 and 65 years old enrolled one of the six clubs in this municipal. Youth mostly preferred cycling as more than 65 of them registered for this association compared to 10 elder members. On the contrary, gardening was picked up by roughly 55 elder people who were between 55 and 65 years old while only 25 youths took this. Photography was equally preferred as roughly 45 people from each age group joined the photography club. Fitness centres enlisted over 100 members and 50 of them were aged inhabitants. Arts are crafts clubs collected 60 young members while only 20 elders enrolled there. Finally, music clubs got over a hundred members and young members’ number was slightly higher than that of people over 54 years old.
In general, the club with the highest attendance is the cycling club which has about 65 members within the age group of 25-35 years whilst having 10 members within the 55-65 age group making it to be the club with the highest and lowest club membership.
Following the cycling club with the second highest and second lowest members joined, in general, is the arts and crafts club having 60 members of the 25-35 age group and 20 members of the 55-65 age group joined respectively.
The gardening club has about 26 members of the 25-35 age group joined which turns out to be the lowest of that age group but has the highest number of the 55-65 age group members. The fitness and music/dance club both have an equal number of 50 members of the 55-65 age group. Finally, the photography club turns out to be the only club
It is evident that senior people in this city prefer gardening club, while the younger group has mostly joined cycling clubs.
The cycling club is very popular among youth as more than 65 youths have joined centres related to cycling. The number of elderly, who are between 55 to 65 years old and have joined a cycling club, is only 10. Contrary to this, a large number of old person prefer gardening with registered number about 55, but for the younger residents, it is nearly 25, making it the least popular option for them. Likewise, a large difference between the subjects can be observed on arts and crafts clubs with about 60 young members and only around 20 elder inhabitants have shown their interest in it. Amid these high differences in preferences, photography seems to be equally attractive to both age groups - 44 members from each group. Furthermore, a similar taste was observed in fitness and music/dance fondness. Both the club are enlisted by around 50 elderly as well as younger members.
