Model Answer 1: [Agreement]
In today's digital age, it is a common observation that children are becoming increasingly dependent on computers and electronic entertainment. While these technologies have revolutionized the way we live, some argue that children are spending too much time indoors, at the expense of outdoor activities such as sports and other traditional pastimes. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement and believe that children should spend more time outside, engaging in physical activities rather than being glued to screens.
Firstly, physical activities such as sports provide a plethora of benefits for children. For instance, playing sports improves their physical fitness, develops teamwork and leadership skills, and helps to build their self-confidence. In contrast, spending too much time indoors can lead to a sedentary lifestyle, which in turn can result in a range of health problems, such as obesity and heart disease. Therefore, it is important to encourage children to take part in sports and other outdoor activities to ensure their overall well-being.
Moreover, traditional pastimes such as reading, drawing, and playing musical instruments can provide children with a creative outlet, allowing them to develop their imagination and cognitive abilities. These activities also help to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for success in later life. On the other hand, electronic entertainment such as video games and social media often encourages passivity and provides little opportunity for creativity and personal development.
In conclusion, while computers and electronic entertainment have their place in modern society, it is important for children to engage in physical activities and traditional pastimes to ensure their overall well-being and development. Parents and educators should strive to strike a balance between the use of technology and outdoor activities, encouraging children to explore the world beyond their screens.
Model Answer 2: [Partial Agreement]
Computers have revolutionised the way we learn, travel, work and socialise. The advancement of technology in this domain has given birth to smartphones, tablets, mp3 players and other gadgets that are not only a great source of entertainment but are instrumental in fetching valuable information both for adults and youths. People believe that children are getting more dependent on these electronic devices which are alarming and we should persuade them to participate in other outdoor physical activities. Though this move is laudable, I do not agree fully. This essay will analyse the merits of both views before presenting an opinion.
People believe that young one of society should take part in physical sports. Proponents of this viewpoint say that physical activities make them mentally strong and physically fit. Playing sports and different games is instrumental in learning the art of teamwork, develops skills vital for competitions and nourish their leadership qualities. Moreover, it develops their stamina, improves metabolism, sharpens their reflexes and braces them to face everyday life challenges. It has been medically proven that the rays emitting from these electronic devices are not good for human vision. Furthermore, one can truly enjoy the game by playing it physically. For instance, football, a game that is different on the field, where it requires stamina and passion compared to a few clicks over the computer. Apart from that, it helps people to socialise, a trend missing in our present generation.
On the contrary, electronic gadgets like computers, notebooks, smartphones etc play an important role to improve the mental abilities and intellectuality of a child if used wisely. Children can play different mind games that improve their thinking power, decision-making skills and harness creativity and innovation. Moreover, physical games and entertainment can lead to harmful injuries which can be fatal. For instance, parents in Karachi usually prefer their children to spend time at home due to fear of terrorism and abduction for ransom.
To recapitulate, the aforementioned provides plausible arguments for both views. However, I personally believe that both computers and physical activities are of equal importance and one should focus on maintaining the right balance and getting positive outcomes.

Together with the computerization of our society, there is a rising of public awareness about kids, who spend too much time in front of the personal computer or playing video games. What is best for children to devote their free time to outdoor activities and conventional games or to be at home and entertain themselves with the computer?
Some types of PC games can be very intelligent and may contain huge educational potential. They can encourage youngsters to develop researching skills and inspire them to learn new things. However, a significant amount of video games is dumb-type, which develops nothing but button-pushing skill. Unfortunately, these games are usually highly addictive. Thus, they can cause a lack of physical activity and even serious mental diseases.
Outdoor games are often more beneficial for kids’ health. They not only train them in terms of agility and endurance but teach children to socialise and make friends. Moreover, they make them stronger because of fresh air, physical activity and exposure to the sunlight. Therefore, being on the street not always safe. An unattended child can receive trauma or become a subject of crime.
I was not a very outgoing and physically active kid and preferred to rather read than play with others. Getting a computer brought more diversity for my leisure and study. It helped me to experience new emotions, learn new things, study English and meet interesting people online. My aptitude in Information technologies has helped me to get a good job and then grow up in my job. Therefore I think parents should look at their child’s personality in order to decide what is more appropriate. Finding a balance between electronic entertainment and outdoor games depends on parents’ ability to identify what best benefits their child.
Model Answer 3:
In this sophisticated contemporary world, computers and electronic entertainment have become phenomenal entertainment factors and nowadays everyone has started using these devices. Technology is being used in the daily life of children and they are very much depending on it. This kind of attitude drains the enthusiasms which we get from outdoor games. I totally agree with the idea of playing outside for children.
Many children spend hours on computers and electronic entertainment because they are addicted to such games and it reduces their interest in playing games outdoors. This trend can eliminate the playing of games and sports as children are not participating in it. In recent years, many online games have started and there we can see all kind of games. Social media are also supporting and developing new games, which many got addicted to. Furthermore, this kind of enthusiastic enjoyment would affect the children’s health and fitness. A healthy body can lead to a healthy mind and helps young kids to study and perform well in life.
These days technology brings many play station games like football, cricket etc. These games should be played in a playground, not on a digital screen. Playing on computers and other media comes a lack of exercise and it would make them weak and from childhood obesity. These kinds of trend become problems in social life also. Children playing outside with friends can easily mingle with social life. They will make good friends and able to understand society very well, so they can behave as responsible human being. Outdoors games help them to work in groups and show the spirit of teamwork.
To sum-up, I believe that playing games on grounds help children more than playing games depending on technologies. We should be in touch with the technology and so keeping a certain time for playing games on computers would not harm. But total dependency on computer games is harmful. Indeed playing outdoors helps children to be healthy and fit. It also entertains them and helps to refresh their mind and body.

Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
These days, children spend most of their time watching television or playing games on mobile phones and computers. However, it is recommended that they should participate in outdoor activities and go out to play different outdoor sports. I completely agree with this view and in this essay, I will support my stand with valid examples and arguments.
Physical activities are quite essential for the mental and physical development of a child. Multiple medical studies have also proven that digital games are making children lethargic and affecting their overall development. Therefore, parents should encourage their children to play outdoor games like cricket, football, tennis, etc. For instance, according to a study conducted by a child welfare organization, 60-70% of childhood health issues like back pain and obesity are caused by sitting in one place for a longer period of time while playing games on mobile and computers. By contrast, when children engage in outdoor activities, their physical strength and stamina increase.
Moreover, games like hockey, cricket and football are team games and teach children team management skills and strategies for thinking. Thus, it is evident that sports and other physical activities play a significant role in life. For example, a child participating in a game of football will learn to work under pressure and will improve his or her team skills.
In conclusion, with the advancement of technology, children get easy access to electronic gadgets and computers and get addicted to them. However, for their overall development, they should get involved in outdoor sports as it will help them to live a healthy life.
