IELTS Essay:

Topic: Deforestation caused by human activity is happening in many parts of the world, with serious results for the environment.

What do you think can be done to solve this problem?

Sample Answer:
Deforestation, which is the result of human’s abuse and luxury to the nature, is spreading out all over the world, with strict impacts for our environment. For avoiding this problem in my opinion some precautions and proper laws should be taken, such as forbidding logging and putting marks on the areas of trees.

Under the control of government, law enforcers should arrest people who log trees without any permission. By this way illegal logging can be prevented if sufficient attention is directed to this area. However, another issue still exist; legal deforestation. From my point of view the biggest error is occurring by federal systems. Because when a government wants to build up an infrastructure there is no other government to criticize it and warn it to not make a wrong choice.

By logging many trees and destroying lungs of the earth forests to raise a huge building, it may be to country’s profit nonetheless, is not a good idea for both ecology and human relief at all. Therefore that job remains to the government itself to judge and check benefits of work it has done. Probably legal deforestation can be prevented by that way.

To sum up, in spite of the fact that people and governments have both decided some wrong choices to take trees and put houses, factories and other buildings instead of those trees they can still correct their mistakes. By increasing the number of trees grown and by decreasing the number of trees logged humanity can gain a lot more oxygen to breath.
